Sorry about this, things have changed a bit. LaTeX::Encode works from Perl
scripts but not from the -M option on the command line. I have a new
version available which works from both, but it is aggressively refactored
and I would not recommend backporting my fixes at present. I would
recommend instead just getting the new version in unstable if that works
for you.
