Speaking personally.... I use the Reports/ChartOfAccounts etc constantly and would be sorry to see it go. In fact, it would be rare that I would do bookkeeping work and NOT use this part of the system in some way. I like that I can get an overview of all accounts, then select a range of transactions by date for a particular account. Filtering by account is fine so long as you can remember all your account numbers (I can't). I'm sure it's a pain to maintain, but the more different ways I can look at the database (without going directly by psql etc), the easier and more powerful the system is to use. I hope I'm not answering the wrong question btw ;-) regards, David. >> What exactly do you mean by "account no.filter to transactions"? > > The GL report in 1.2 will only show either classes of accounts > (assets, equity, etc) or full transactions. > > In 1.3, you can use it to show transactions from the specific accounts. > > Does this make more sense? > Best Wishes, > Chris Travers > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge > Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes > Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world > http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ > _______________________________________________ > Ledger-smb-users mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ledger-smb-users ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Ledger-smb-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ledger-smb-users
