Subject: [LU] Reserves = full time 6 3

Well I did say it could end up any score
Second half was played at a lot slower tempo and was nothing like as frantic
as the first.
At one point all we had to show was one good tackle by Naylor and a great
ball by Robinson that McCormack made a hash of.
Bet this half is 0 0 I thought to myself, then a good break led to McCormack
and Paynter bearing down on their goal and Paynter being brought down. A good 5
or more yards from the semi circle round area. Just left of centre. Up stepped
McCormack who curled a beauty into the conrer - are you watcing Bradley ?
But once again we made a mistake at the back ,this time Nayor with a tame
handball on edge of the box. The Hull player Debit hit it past a stationary
Higgs to bring up his hat trick and make it 5 3.
McCromack made it clear he wanted a hat trick too - but after a great run
from Watt beating two men, he miscontolled the chance, Then a good ball from
Robinson led to him hitting the post with a great strike. Then he pulled
another one just wide. Then a ball by Parker to the each of the box was well
controlled by him and he stepped inside the defender to finish wiht style and
get his hat trick - 6 3,
In between the Ross McCormakc show Naylor had a shot cleared off the line
after a corner by Hatfield who had replaced Sam.
  so 6 3 it ended
Reserves games are always hard to judge but on this showing none of the back
5 will be pushing for a place on Saturday, Parker got another 90mins in but
waso better than OK
Robisnon deserves competitive football, showing some glimpses of skill and
vision .he has no future with us but could be the old head surrounded by young
legs somewhere else.
Clayton showed good vision and passing skills and is a ready made replacement
for Kikenny when needed.
Sam and Watt both looked lively and either can come in for Snoddy and or
Gradel if required
The stikers are in a difficult postion with Becchios hat trick and Sommas
emergance and the fact we only play one up (at least away from home)
McCormack certainly has something to offer and will be a big success when he
gets his chance
Paymter is a big unit and scored one and put another in when given off side
harshly.
Decent touch on the ground but his ariel ability was not used tonight - a
replacemtn for Becchio - we will wait and see
Either of them are capable of getting their chance and seizing it by scoring
and making goals
The squad in midfield and attack looks strong but Naylor looks finished and
Bromby very shaky at times
Still 6 3 made it a good game to watch on LUTV
  Dave
