Well, depends... the EU decided Sky shouldn't have a monopoly. So they
have six "packages" of premier league games spread over the weekend and
Monday night. No one broadcaster can buy all six. Originally, Setanta UK
had two of them (late Saturday and Monday night), but couldn't cover the
costs and went bust. ESPN currently have just the late Saturday game.

So... Sky no longer have a "monopoly", but they still have "exclusive"
matches and pay a massive amount to the PL. This makes everyone who
matters* happy.

(* Viewers, of course, have to pay for/get two channels if they want to
watch all the games... but eh... they're armchair fans)
