Yes but if they started enforcing all the laws all the time, like it's an 
offence to be under the influence of alcohol in or near a football ground on a 
match day, stadiums would be empty!

And while I'm on about inconsistency, how come a charge of racial abuse (in 
this case) is dealt with in court, yet Joey Barton can commit an offence that 
in the streets would probably bring a charge of GBH yet on the football pitch 
just gets him banned for a few games?  And he's not alone in committing such 
violent offences.

Annnnd if we really are talking about inconsistency, how come Roque Junior was 
signed as a defender, and not a ball boy?

And I won't even start on Becchio!
