Lots of people have said this but I actually like Cleverley. He's busy, always
available for the ball and seems to be able to handle a ball. Unlike Lescott
who was alarmingly poor (and I used to like him), Carrick who is a waste of
space and Johnson who should never play in defence again (but looks like he
could be a decent midfield/winger).

It's ridiculous.  Didn't they do it for Sheff Weds too?? There was the story
of some guy who lived in Sheffield or Huddersfield or somewhere round there
who would have to travel to Hull to get his ticket to travel back officially
to go to a game 10 mins from his house.

Re England... glen Johnson, lescott, cleverly, carrick were totally
anonymous.  Didn't even realise carrick was playing.

Say what you like about Fat Frank but calling out for someone like him to
take charge and rescue the game

You're absolutely right Richy.
BTW - Has everyone seen the polava ongoing at the moment regarding the
Huddersfield v Hull game, whereby West Yorkshire's finest will only let Hull
fans travel ala Millwall to Leeds, i.e. Meet in Hull and be escorted all the
way, otherwise you ain't going!! At the reverse fixture, earlier this
season, there was almost a riot amongst the 15,000 string crowd which
resulted in ..... 1 arrest.
FIFA is run by crooks who know nothing about the social history of football
and care ONLY about the money.
UEFA is run by a waffling Frenchman who makes things up as he goes along.
The FA are weak, out of date, out of touch and do nothing for the game at
grass roots level.
AND we are living in a Nanny state where the fundamental rights to wander
freely as a football fan (Even if you are a model citizen with not even 3
points on your licence, let alone a criminal record) are being eradicated.

Jumpers for goalposts anyone?
