*L.U.S.T. Questions and Answers – Thanks from Trust Chairman *
As Chairman can I take this opportunity to thank all of the members who responded to the answers we received from the club and emailed to you all last week. The response has been overwhelming, to such an extent that I just cannot reply to everyone individually. Those who have not received a reply should not worry, as I have passed on the strength of feeling and comments to the club. There were also further issues raised based upon some of the club’s replies, and about some of the unanswered questions, and again I will forward those comments to the club.
It is clear from the vast majority of responses that while by and large our membership is pleased to be in a position where the club will listen to them and provide some answers, there is an overwhelming sense of disappointment that many questions remain unanswered, and that the club chose only to answer questions it felt were supporter relevant questions when, in fact, each question came from our members who are all supporters. It’s clear you felt that all of the questions were supporter relevant; again I have relayed that feeling directly to the club.
We will continue to pursue further answers and to raise issues with the club as our members raise them with us, and there will be a chance to discuss what has been our first opportunity to put questions and get answers from the club at our next public meeting. That will follow our AGM on Wednesday 27th November 2013 from 7.45pm in the Legends Lounge above Billy’s Bar <http://lufctrust.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=961b4c64f7799c1c11c962c47&id=327212c7fc&e=767fef03b1>, when we hope to have representation from the club. A buffet supper will be available and all are welcome.
Given that this is the first time during my tenure as Chairman of the trust that the club have willingly taken questions from us, I would hope that our membership will appreciate the huge step forward this represents. I want to assure you all that while our new found good relationship with the club will involve us promoting support and positivity, we will continue to scrutinise the actions and words of our owners in just the same way as we always have.
