I see we have appointed Glover from West Ham as 'head of recruitment' and then thought - what does he do ? Surely the manager / coach and his assistants work out which positions need strengthening and what type of player we need, and give a list of possibles to the money men / financial director who then try and get them signed ? Scouts will alert the manager to players who he may not know about etc. So what does the head of recruitment do ?
