Hmm. I'm not sure about Byram's best position. I always though him to be a full-back, who is handy going forwards but a bit suspect in defence. Not really IMO a midfielder or winger. I am assuming that it is as a right back that he is attracting attention from higher clubs.
The fact that Leeds have signed 3 wingers in the last 6 weeks probably means he is surplus to requirements there. However if Leeds are ever going to challenge for promotion do they need a better footballer than Berardi at right-back? The other problem with losing Byram is that it will leave the squad with only 2 senior defenders in reserve, one being Wooton. At least with Byram, there was always the option of putting him at RB and moving Berardi over to the left if required. Having said that, if Cellino is resigned to losing him Buckley will be a good replacement as a winger.
