Agree with Dave.
Everything we do looks an effort.
It was an odd atmosphere, low crowd , freezing cold etc but I was reasonably
happy with the selection and the performance was much better.
Coyle at right back was fantastic and I was pleased to see mowatt back - he
picked out antenucci with a peach of a cross just before half time but he
headed straight at the keeper.
Adeyemi was innocuous - I thought he'd gone off long before he actually did! I
would have liked to have seen both Erwin and botaka for longer. We miss wood
though, I thought doukara was poor and antenucci even worse.
Doukara isn't good enough for this level and antenucci has stopped trying.
Silvestri was also poor - I'd like to see their goal again. It was from 20
yards out and didn't seem that hard a strike but he didn't move. He was also
back to his indecisive self - he must be s nightmare to play in front of as he
never deals with crosses or through balls well enough.
Evans' presser was interesting again. He predictably tried to claim some credit
for cook's goal by saying he's been encouraging him to shoot more.
He also claims that he knows what's coming in the summer and will be given
funds to build a promotion team or he won't be staying.
Part of me would love to believe it but I can't help thinking he's a chancer
who's way out of his depth and is totally full of shit! One win in ten and 13
goals in 17 home games does not fill me with confidence that he's the man to
take us forward even if he was given money to spend. Redfearn did better last
season with a squad that looks weaker on paper and i don't think Evans'
signings have saved us from relegation as he was claiming last week!
