I'm sorry, but I don't quite buy into all the doom & gloom here. 0-4 is not a great result, but there were at least some positive things on offer.
Football is a bloody weird game, and that was a very strange contest. I'm not a big believer in stats, but still............17 shots and 51% possession away from home? Normally, we would be thrilled with that. And OK, you could say that B/ton took their foot off the gas in the second half, but nevertheless, we did look composed and skillful through much of the second half. I didn't think the pen was a foul (although I admit I would've been screaming for it if it had been at the other end!).............the 2nd goal, well after Bamba's mistake we were very unlucky..........then after that I think we were shellshocked for 10 mins. I thought B/ton were the worst bunch of horrible haircuts and dreadful facial hair I've seen............even worse than Derby. I'm sure that left back was booked early on for having the temerity to walk onto the pitch with such an awful haircut. (If so, that was the only thing the ref got right all night.) I loved it when that kid tried some showboating and Charlie Taylor gave him a good kicking. We have got some good players. Coyle looks great............Taylor just gets better every time I see him..........I really like Diagouraga, and Bridcutt is deffo an asset, although he does send 1 in 6 or 7 passes woefully astray..........I thought Mowatt looked leaner and sharper than he had been before his injury (although his freekicks were disappointing)..........Cook had a poor game by his standards, and I still say The Duke could be a star in a real attacking formation. I just hope Chris Wood can help us produce a less stodgy home display on Sat and we can dispose of Bolton. _______________________________________________ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org MARCHING ON TOGETHER
