I had a birthday recently and got some dosh off my family and I want to buy a telescope for star gazing.
I've been looking on line and the choice is bewildering. I know there are boffins and scientists on here, and one of the best things about this list is the knowledge members are willing to share, so does anyone have any helpful advice on what to get? I've got 200 quid and am a complete novice. Feel free to reply off list, unless you think talking about astronomy is more interesting than Leeds United (which it may well be from time to time).
