I think Taylor is better than Byram. He is a better defender by far and not
much difference in attacking in my view.
I am gutted that Taylor is leaving and it is basically because he sees nothing
worth keeping him here. As he has put in a transfer request the club will be
able to cash in on him but, again, this must be reinvested in the playing
staff. If we are to compete for promotion we still need quality centre half,
left back, goalie, holding midfielder player and a proven goal scorer at this
level.
As things stand the best we can hope for is top half finish because we will not
get in the play offs.

Not a surprise but a bad day for the teamI think we will miss him a lot more
than Cook (we never really sorted his most effective position) and Byram (after
a great first season his form dipped badly and then was played out of position)
With Taylor and Berardi I really think we had an excellenct full back pairing
that would have done very well in this division.
I can understand why he is going - we cannot offer Prem football and the wages
that go with it, and like the others who made the breakthrough he was not
treated that well.
Anyway lets hope that Hernandez has still got it, Vieira is better than Cook
and that we find a suitable replacement for Taylor
