Another 10 more like. This is going to be our best chance to get back into the big time for a decade. Monk has got a bunch of very average journeymen winning games that we used to lose. God knows how he's doing it, but he is.
The problem is that monk does not look like a long term fixture. If we lose him we are going back to the long line of 4th division managers that we burnt through. Does anyone understand MC's strategy on monk's contract? Makes no sense to me. Right now, MC is on the brink of owning half of a massive premier league football club, but he seems not to understand the criticality of monk in the equation. Or is it monk dragging his feet cos he wants to manage back in the premier league, and if we don't make it... Or does the other Italian not like monk for some reason?
