When Phil hay tweeted that he would contact the foreign office and check on 
travel advice I knew this was coming. Fco advice is freely available online and 
Burma is not dangerous at all. 

Unless you know these places well and the dynamics then the PR disaster is the 
uninformed speculating and assuming. And of course it is a PR disaster because 
we make it one 

The last british Ambassdor to Burma ( not Andrew Patrick the current one was a 
Leeds fan) 

There is clearly method to this, it’s an odd choice which I don’t get but it 
shouldn’t be a PR disaster. There will be some charitable angle to it too 
(helping poor kids etc..)
