Agreed.
The number one priority for the window has to be a new keeper. Saw a stat today
that we’ve conceded 10 goals from last 13 shots on target. I know you can’t
blame BPF for all of them but he’s been culpable for a lot of them. His
positioning is atrocious which I think is why he gets nowhere near some of the
shots and it doesn’t look like he’s made a mistake on first viewing.
A few games ago a said to the bloke next to me at ER that I wasn’t convinced by
Forshaw. He thought I was being a bit harsh but I’ve re-evaluated my opinion to
he’s fucking awful. Biggest issue with Phillips 3 match ban is Forshaw will be
unlikely to lose his place. He’s way too casual on the ball and seems to jog
everywhere, takes too many touches and puts himself under pressure.
The main positive for me at the moment is that we’ve got a bit of a break from
league games and hopefully some of the injured players are back for the game
against Frank Lampard’s Derby (as sky call them.)
It shows how tough (or shit depending on your point of view) the league is that
we’ve lost 2 in a row but have only lost 1 point to second and 2 to third.
As well as a keeper I’d be looking at a centre back and a replacement for Saiz,
especially if Brown isn’t close to fitness.
