Probably need a 90cm dish (maybe 1m to be safe) and you can buy a receiver and 
get everything we can here 

Look at freesat here for an example (they have an EPG - programme guide so 
maybe better for her as it puts all channels in order 

Easy to get anything like this on amazon delivered to her direct in France. 

A british sky dish won’t be big enough though 

None of this is particularly expensive maybe €40 for dish £70 for a freesat box 
although you can get unbranded ones for as little as £20 on wish.com
