I also thought it was a good point last night against a half decent Preston
side. We were the better team and played the better football which is something
that you can apply to every game we have played this season.
The main concerns are still there though. Lots of possession but actually not
creating chances that is making their keeper work. Despite 2 free in the box
headers and a chance from 5 yards out their keeper wasn't challenged. Bamford
fluffed all his chances (none were easy granted) but he looks like a player who
likes to play with confidence and swagger and is now having to roll his sleeves
up and battle. He is doing this and there's no doubt he's putting it in however
I think he's struggling and with Eddie breathing down his neck he is snatching
his chances. His chance in the 2nd half demonstrated this perfectly. He sliced
it for a throwing from 6 yards out when scoring was easier. For me Eddie has
sto start against Wednesday this weekend which given their progress is a
massivee game.
Other areas for concern for me was Costa's performance. He did have one good
run in the 2nd half but overall his performance was lacking and to be honest he
hasn't really performed at the level of his team mates since his arrival. He
looked world class at times for Norwich - welcome to Leeds.
Dallas seems a tad lost in midfield. I think right wing back suits him and
Ayling to me looks rusty and vulnerable.
Positives - I thought Philips was man of the match, Eddie was Eddie and saved
us. Ben White did brilliantly at the back.
