I must confess that I haven’t really noticed either player before, and the selective videos can be misleading as we know. I’ve been a bit critical of the performance of the current regime in the transfer market, but I have to say that I’m hopeful these 2 will deliver. Rodrigo - A club record fee by some way, Videos show him to be left-footed, energetic and quite quick. His English sounds quite good. If he settles he might just play his best football yet. Koch – I loved Ben White and still do! But Koch is a big lad, with the reputation of a ball-player. No real idea of how quick/slow he is but at half the cost Ben White would have been, that is not bad for a German international. I always think the Budesliga is the closet to the Premier league in terms of overall competitiveness and physicality, so the PL should not be too much of a shock for him. Still need 2 or 3 players to improve numbers and quality. Then it will be a question of how well Bielsa can form them into a unit. It is amazing and a bit frightening that the squad will still contain 6 or 7 players who we regarded as nothing more than mid-championship journeymen a couple of years ago. KOT.
