Paid my £4.99 to watch via LUTV Was an ok game ( pretty much no chances /
shots / saves by either team first half ( Nmecha and Bojil making debuts)
Tanaka Bogle and Gnonto our outstanding players - the latter 2 linking up well
and playing some brilliant little flicks and turns etc . Tanaka looked
comfortable. Nmecha isolated up top did nothing to suggest he is the “man” but
it was his first outing so much too soon to judgeBijol looked fine Second half
with 8 then 10 then 11 then 12 subs lost its way in some areas but created more
stuff , Bogle and Ramazani were both thwarted by good saves but should have
scored . Piroe playing 2 or 3 great threaded balls. Gudmunsson looked a decent
replacement for Firpo rampaging down the flank and also making a few good
tackles . The other newbies looked ok - again too soon and a friendly. The last
few subs bringing on kids nearly did for us as Chambers made a tackle in the
box that VAR would have given as a penalty Then right at the death an almighty
scramble from a corner led to the post and Meslier rescuing us twice ( one a
great save) to keep it at 0/0Only a fool ( or a Leeds fan on a forum ) would
read much if anything into that game - best way I can sum it up is “ we did not
look out of place against this opposition “A huge crowd of 45,000 made it like
an away match - Leeds fans heavily outnumbered but making all the noise A
decent work out for their first goDave
