I reckon DCL will be important all season - keeping him fit could mean the
difference between staying up and relegation. He looks a real handful and is a
class above (on what we’ve seen so far ) his natural replacement- Nmecha
I think Piroe still has a part to play - as an impact sub - he still knows
where the goal is . The problem is with no reserve football it’s going to be
hard to keep the fringe players match sharp
As for tomorrow any result would not be a surprise really - we could nick it ,
get a draw or get heavily beaten? Hopefully the former
There are no teams much worse than the rest this season ( by November last time
tje 3 relegation places were pretty much sorted ) , so the safety points total
will be nearer the mythical 40 points than it has been in recent seasons
Anyway back to slumming it in the cheap seats for me tomorrow after the
grandeur of sitting with Chris Moyles parents last weekI hope the atmosphere
does not suffer from the early kick off

Thanks to all for the reports on Saturday.
I think Rich, Nick and Dave’s analyses were spot on from what we’ve seen so
far.
I’d just like to add that I have to give Farke a lot of credit for a number
of things:-
The overall style of play. He had to be more pragmatic and more solid to
hope for results in this league.
His gradual reintegration of Harrison has worked pretty well, and using
Aaronson on the right during James injury (when James has been a bit off in
the early games anyway) has been more successful than anybody would have
thought.
I would like to see a bit more of Tanaka but it
Is difficult to see which one of the ‘samey’ Longstaff and Stach he
replaces as they both have had outstanding games in different matches.
I don’t think he can change the team at this point. Hopefully when he has
to, the players coming in will not be undercooked and can show their best
form.
Spurs will be a tough one, but it will be only 2.5 days after a tiring trip
to Norway for them and I think the team have already learned since the
Arsenal game how to better contain teams when they have the ball and how to
get up the pitch from defence. DCL will be important here.
