Aussie optimism rules.
Of course we want promotion. I don't rate Blackie but look where he's got
us! And sure we're crap but I'm prouder of this Leeds team ( and that
includes board and management). Than I was of the team 2 years ago. And yes
we may be shown up in the premiership, but then we would probably be shown
up against Leicester, Coventry, Stoke, Southhamton et al. in this league
next year.So yes bring it on . If you don't want promotion I would seriously
question your honesty in claiming to be a Leeds supporter.
Cheers. Nig

Been think about thissince mid-season
Do we want to go up?
Do we want to have an honourable defeat and build again for the next
season?
Both points have differing arguements of some merit
In the end I went for the selfish option
If Leeds have an honourable defeat in the playoffs, and we can safely and
conservatively build an even stronger squad, then I wont get to see any
games on the TV
So - seize the day and all that crap, get up there, get on the tele, get
the premiership dosh, roll the dice and take our chanes in the big league
Leeds for the playoff promotion spot
Blackie for 1 year in the Premier League

At the season's outset, my target was for us to get to the play off
final......and lose it. Now, when we've arrived in the play offs, I'm not
so sure what to want - premiership status would be nice and the cash and
prestige that goes with it, but the prospect of being next season's
Sunderland is bad for the spirit and soul. To be honest, my money's on
Watford, but then, as usual, it's all on the day and all the clubs have
lost their way a bit recently. Difficult to call.

If we go into the Preston game with the matchups already decided, and if
we are due to play Preston in the first round (as is currently the case)
[or even if we're not], don't you think a case could be made for us to
play our reserves and send them out to seriously injure as many of
Preston's key players as possible? And Preston might have the same
idea, so we should not play our first teamers anyway.
Apart from that, I think Blackie has a tricky choice to make between
resting a number of obviously tired players on the one hand, and trying
to get some form amd momentum back on the other. I'm not sure what is
the best solution............but if I know Blackie (which I don't) I
reckon he will steer a course somewhere between the two.

P.S. Am expecting the playoff final to be on live out here, but I'm not
sure if I'll have the balls to watch it (assuming we get into it.) It
is going to be agony!
