Hi
I am more confused than ever.I cannot decide about Blackwell @ all.
The theme have been a variety of 'poor me', 'look what I've done' &
'it's all part of a plan, be patient.'
But there are too many things that just don't sit straight.
Why does it take 3 years to build a team ? This is something that we
all bought but I never understood why. Boothroyd did it in one.
Then if does take 3 years why are we building around so many players
that will be very old on that 3rd year? Certainly way past their best.
If it does succeed what happens to this aging team? Do we wait another
three years? Why should it take less in the Premiership. Who are the
nucleus that will play in the Premiership?
We were told that their experience was needed in the play-offs. But we
were told that we lost because the players were not listening. Is that
experience?
We had no money yet we spent a wad of money on players that were on
the bench or not selected.Why?
We needed a speedy experienced right sided player. Why was Stone not playing?
Why was Walton, a young centre half played out of position last year &
not used this year although we have an aging C-H problem? What
happened to Harding?
Why do we play players out of position? Why is it when players leave
the club they play better? Why do we have 4 strikers and yet do not
pay 4,2 ,4?
Why are there so many games when the players loose the plot or do not
understand it?

Yes we could have imploded last year but did not Yes we did get
better this year. But could we have got worse?
Over the last 12 games we have looked absolutely awful. That is not
getting better.
In all honesty are we just two or three players short of a team? Which
three? Is Jeffers one of them?
I am not knocking KB. But I really cannot decide whether this guy is
[EMAIL PROTECTED] big con man or the messiah in waiting.
Sure the 'big picture' says one thing but the 'details' say another.
I wonder if this ambivalence about him is felt by the players? Look at
the list how it is split. No manager has done that and we have had
enough. Sure all had critics but there was usually a sort of group
consensus .With KB there is polarisation. It is both strange & not
encouraging.
Am I missing the point here?
As I said confusing, at least to me.
I really do think that by Xmas we will see an answer. I also think
that Bates is shrewder than all of us.What we are seeing so is he.
From closer up & with his money!. I do not think that a guy in his
70's with his ego is really singing 'what's another year?'. He does
not have to sack Blackie. He can bring a Coach from abroad & kick
Backwell upstairs.
And yesterday we were abslute shit.
Michael
