No. Or "non" if it helps?
I'm comparing giving ownership of a british subject's land to another person/body/government/country/ against their wishes with giving ownership of a british subject's land to another person/body/government/country/ against their wishes. No 'buying' or 'selling', legally or otherwise. It doesn't matter what the relative histories of the houses/land/countries are.. or I suppose you'd be cool if an authority said you had to f#ck off out of your home because in the year 865AD someone won the land you currently live on fair and square in a game of 'slap the maiden', but new evidence has come to light and it seems there was a whole 'cash for slaps' conspiracy going on, and therefore that game 1200 years ago has now been deemed 'not cricket' and they are giving your land back to the original owner, and tough titties to you. Understand? Its not a question of who owned the land originally, it's a question of the current population there being British and wanting to stay British. If everyone had to give land back won or ceded in wars then there would be no countries as we know them now. Or are you selectively deciding in that terribly arrogant French manner of yours that its only the naughty brits who need to give their lands back? :) > -----Original Message----- > From: Eric B [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 27 June 2006 17:02 > To: Mark Humphries > Cc: J Moran; Shawn Concannon; Ted; [email protected] > Subject: Re: FW: [LU] Who NOT to win the WC > > yes it is daft. > > you re comparing taking (at loss for better words) something long time > ago with buying something legally "over the counter" getting a receipt > and stuff. > > only you in your own mind can get away with comparisons like these. > but hey.. whatever surfs your wave. > > Eric > > On 6/27/06, Mark Humphries <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > No it isn't. > > > > I'm not talking about past, I'm living in the now.
