It's an interesting one now for him.
If he was intelligent he would take six months out, then come back quite
humbly and say "yes, I've learnt lessons, I was too egotistical, but I
recognise that, give me a chance, look at my track record". And if you look
at his track record it isn't bad on paper - always top 5 for us (yes I know
he frittered millions away but statistically it looks a success in all but
silverware) and 2 decent finishes for Villa (ignore last season).
Sadly, I suspect he is too egotistical to recognise faults lie with himself
and I think he will struggle to find another decent job - maybe a foreign
jaunt next for him?

Also, it nice to bring a bit of closure to another old
list argument (I don't forget them - Harte, Mcphail
...) - David O'Leary, the football management
pretender. Good when given a team full of
internationals that picked itself. Poor when he had to
actually do a bit of management like choose players
who can play together (Fowler and Viduka - are you mad
!!??). Any of the pro-DOL group want to justify DOL as
a football manager. Personally I believe he's not up
to it.
