If the Nicholls transfer goes through (he needs to pass medical etc) It will in effect mean that in midfield, our most worrying area, we have changed the largely ineffective Miller and Douglas for Livermore and Nicholls both of whom have a decent reputation at this level. Add to that the supposed pace and trickery of Carole and the return of Steve Stone plus a fit Erik Bakke (if he stays) and the option of Joel Griffiths and suddenly we have options and a reasonable looking engine room at this level.
Hopefully this will give KB the belief and confidence to play 4 4 2 and allow us to see the best out of the permutations of Cressy \ Hulse \ Beckford \ Healy \ Blake whilst still giving cover to a mainly slow and cumbersome defence that despite what we thought on paper did do well last season and which could be strengthened by the additions Foxe and Eliiott if either \ both
prove they are up to the job.
so whilst there is noting to get over excited about I reckon KB is doing a decent job in the transfer market given our financial and other constraints
Can't wait for season to start now
