Although no one on the list has mentioned this item, you all either have read about him in your daily papers....or you're too young to remember the glory days of Don Revie.
In this week's International Express, the world's oldest football coach, Ivor Powell, turned 90 years young. He has earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. Powell signed as a 17 year-old with QPR in 1933.He managed several clubs after retiring as a player and eventually joined Leeds United backroom staff...helping Don Revie build a side which would become one of the great teams of the early 70's. He is a member of the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame....being named in 2004....alongside legends John Charles and Ian Rush....naturally two former Leeds greats. Only 51 more weeks to Powell's 91st.
