I wouldn't necessarily blame Butler for this actually. Norwich started
4-5-1 against our 4-4-2, and they played a man between our backline and our
midfield - and Derry and Bakke didn't pick this player up - the only option
then was for the back four to break their line - and you don't really want
that to happen unless you have a player of Cannavaro's standard. I'm not
saying that Butler had a good game (although he won most of his headers and
made some storming tackles), but I think Lewis and Bakke were our weakest
players.
Definitely agree with the rest of your report Rich. In the last 20-25
minutes I didn't feel we were going to throw this away (last season I would
have done).
