>>> I think Carole is a better right midfielder than Healey don't
you?<<<

He played Healy on the right wing again, last night.

Predictably, he didn't do that well. He did look ok when he moved up
front for a spell 1st half. Then he played on the left for a bit in the
second, then back on the right.

Have to say that Lewis looked ok/good but a bit powder puff - and he
quite often doesn't track back. When we were playing well second half,
he was at the heart of most things - as was Westlake when he was on.
Stone too, but he was huffing and puffing (understandably) after 65
mins.

Carole didn't look especially fast, skilful or tricky but he put in a
few blocked crosses. Don't want to write him off over 20 mins but he was
far from convincing - I'd say he looked a bit lazy. He was ambling
around in the warm up. Short and a bit fat.

Not sure why Horsfield came off - or why Blake didn't come on. Moore was
utterly anonymous but then we played the last 15 mins (4 stoppage time)
in our own half, they missed 2 ABSOLUTE sitters (open goal and 2 one on
ones)

Ironically, Horsfield's goal looked offside - the only time he wasn't
actually offside! The ref was picky and seemed to give a lot of fouls
against him, for doing nothing/being fouled himself. A lot of the
service was predictable - HOOF from Crainey, or speculative punt from
defence.

Derry was quiet/ineffective. Bakke annoyingly frustrating.

I wasn't drinking and was being objective. I don't mind admitting when
we're in the wrong, and their pen was fair but a bit harsh. I thought
Killa could have given one away in the 5th minute but the ref evened it
up by giving him a non descript card 5 or 10 mins later.

I was a bit nervous in the last 30, more down to their fans going
apoplectic with rage for some divvies celebrating the goals
'enthusiastically' in the home end. I was resigned to a draw/loss when
they got the pen, in reality we'd started to play in our own half,
thinking the job was done.

We have a team seemingly petrified of shooting. We hardly did anything
for 30 mins, and what we did do through the game was all in the 6 yard
box. They could have scored a couple in the 1st half, if they had some
conviction. Some say Butler is a colossus but on last night's
performance, I'd say more Colossus of Rhodes.

Don't want to labour the point but we were piss poor for most -
passable/good at this level for about 20-30 mins. Tops. That's not to
say we can't play better but it wasn't enough to make me renew and I'll
be back up North after Xmas.

P.s. Sign Warner. Even if he is obsessed with mud on his boots.

P.P.s. Not sure what TV/press/radio have said about game/team. Only read
BBC's scanty review.
