R U Sure about that Sean ? I'd take another look at
the goal. Cross comes over, easy knock down from
Palace attacker who was being 'marked' by captain
fantastic. He was doing is best to be low profile as
usual.
There are lots of criticisms that can be made of Butler - trying to be low
profile is definitely not one of them! Butler was marking his man - he was
goal side, but not too close so he couldn't be turned. The ball wasn't
there to be won by Butler without giving away a penalty like Crainey did at
QPR.
It wasn't all Killa's fault.
If it had been Butler, Gregan or Crainey in Killa's place you'd still be
castigating them, citing the fact they were on the pitch as clear evidence
that KB is clueless and talking about an inablility to get the basics of
defending right.
The goal was down to Killa - he was late spotting and reacting to
Morrison's run and let him get goal side to score. A basic defending error,
simple as.
Does this mean Killa should be dropped? No. All players make mistakes
(just like managers, just like all of us). The question is - can he learn
from it?
Anyway, as I said earlier , only one person to blame
today and that was horsfield.
