Having watched our tumble down the table from the South of France whilst envying our Chairman his life style, it was good to be back last night and witness that rarity, a goal from open play, after just 7 minutes. A good through ball from Kelly (and that's not something you can say very often) and a slip from a defender enabled Blake to beat the off-side trap and he finished well as the keeper came out. We were generally on top after that with lots of possession, but a combination of good/desperate defending from Barnet and poor choice of final ball or bad passing kept the score at 1-0. The introduction of Moore for the injured and ineffective Horsefield perked things up in the second half. Moore's clever movement, hard work and all-round good play made us look a better side and he linked up well with Blake. When the second goal arrived it was no more that we deserved and it was well taken, Moore forcing it home after a Lewis corner had been headed back across the box. Moore scored his second and our third when he took a pass from Blake, cleverly deceived the defender to create himself some space and buried his shot from about 18 yards. Johnny Howson came on to replace Stone and looked a very good prospect indeed. One long cross-field pass to find Lewis in acres of space was an absolute gem. The fact that Lewis then fucked-up, as he did for most of the game, should not detract from the pass. Howson almost scored from a Blake pass late on, the Barnet keeper saving well at his feet as he moved on to the ball. On this showing we shouldn't be too worried about relegation. We'll piss the Second Division!!

Sullivan - not much to do but did it well 7

Kelly - much as usual, good in parts, shite in others 6

Foxe - very impressive. I know it was only Barnet but he looked composed, comfortable on the ball, used it well. It ain't going to happen but I'd like to see him in instead of Butler 7

Killa - excellent as usual 7

Crainey - not bad last night leading to the wits on the kop to start a "Steven Crainey's fucking brilliant" chant 7

Stone - pity the legs have gone a bit. He reads the game so well, rarely wasted a ball, made several good interceptions, a class act 7

Douglas - no improvement, must do better 5

Nicholls - not too impressive really but I suppose he's still coming back to full fitness 6

Lewis - garbage. He's begining to piss me off almost as much as Jermaine Wright did. LEWIS OUT!! 2

Blake - took his goal well and was lively and creative all night 7

Horsefield - didn't contribute much before his injury and we looked a better side after he'd gone off 4

Moore - looked really good, sharp, committed, all round good effort. As with Foxe, I know it was only Barnet, but I was very impressed with him last night. My man of the match 8

Howson - looking forward to seeing more of this lad. 7
