Dave

I have to say that I am not as optimistic as most of you appear to be after
saturday's defeat. I was a little concerned with the tactics employed by
DFW. After a stinging defeat at PNE the last thing we wanted at Oakwell was
to have an open game. We needed at least a point and a dour 0-0 draw would
have done me. In fact, if we had packed the midfield and played 1 up front I
think this lot were there for the taking.

Barnsley's defence is so bad they have shipped as many goals as us. They
play with 2 wingers and yet DFW goes and plays a 4-3-3? I think we edged the
1st half and that was down to Blake who was superb. At 2-1 we had them on
the ropes and then the whistle went - perhaps too early for us.

Second half we never troubled their keeper. When DFW decided to change it up
front he left on Healy who, again, did not have a good game and took off
Horsefield who I thought was doing ok. I think Cresser and Horsefield were
worth a try given we had totally lost the midfield by this stage.

I dont want to hear about Healy being N Ireland's finest. He is a passenger
and for the most part does not look interested. His agent is clearly hawking
his services across the UK & Europe and he wants to go. I say cash in and,
regretfully, let Killa go too.

As for Butler, why does DFW persist with this bloke? He cost us the 2nd &
3rd goal Saturday. Barnsley got in lots if crosses on Saturday and they got
lots of change from it. Whilst I'm at it Kelly was f*cking shite as well.

Finally, I was very disappointed with the Leeds fans. Up to half-time they
were superb but as the game went on they became very disgrunteld and as has
already been pointed out there were some morons having a go at the team at
the end which is counter productive.

In summary, it was same old story for me. Barnsley wanted to win more than
us and deserved their victory. Our manager better wise up and not take teams
for granted. We cant attempt to take teams on playing football until we get
the basics right. He may not be happy with the players we have, he wouldnt
be here if they were producing would he, but he has got to get them
producing. We are now 2 victories away from getting out of the bottom three.
It needs sorting now.
