I have to say I am not impressed at Foxe at Centre-half and a right back he
is a laibility. No way he should get a permanent deal as is being rumoured.
What are your views on Stack & Health? I have concerns about Stack, I think
he is costing us goals and and so is Heath. I gather that Heath was at fault
for both their goals on Tuesday night?

Well, despite the result there were a lot more positives than negatives
from todays game. From start to finish (apart from the 3 mins between their
goals) we showed 100% heart, commitment, pride and passion. We fought for
every ball and ran tirelessly, Moore, Douglas and Westlake covered every
blade of grass (even if the quality is lacking at times in all 3 of them)
For once we were the team picking up loose balls and harrying the
opposition. We also played some nice football (Blake again being at the hub
of it all) and deserved to get something from the game - they were really
hanging on at the end.
Ehiogu took the place of Killa and looked like Roque Junior
re-incarnated with his long sleeves under his shirt and his new hair style,
but luckily he did not play like him, in fact he looked confident and sure
and he will be a good acquisition.
Wise once again impressed by his use of subs, firstly bringing on Kandol
when Foxe was sent off - he does look to have something this lad and I just
hope he can get on the score sheet quickly to boost his confidence - then
at 2 -0 down when the game was as good as over, instead of accepting that
Wise brought on Healy and Horsefield so we had 3 up front and it nearly
worked - Healy got the ball from a long crossfield pass by Crainey (who had
another decent game) and I was shouting "you score these for Ireland
you..." when bang he lashed an unstopable shot into the top of the net -
great goal. Whether it is the start of him showing his true class (as a
result of being dropped ?) or is just a goal to put another few quid on his
transfer fee in Jan who knows.
We then pressed hard for an equaliser in the dying minutes but Burnley
just about hung on.
Not all was rosy - Foxe was pretty woeful and was having a mare before
he was sent off. Douglas is not a right back either - he was at fault for
their first goal.
Stack made a couple of good saves but still looks dodgy on crosses and
was responsbile for our worst move of the game - 2 mins to go he had the
ball, all our players went up into their half but he kicked it straight
into touch ! Awful.
So a bad result but if we put that effort in every week and play like
that there is no way we will be relegated !
Leeds fans were good, as we generally are,and gave the players a good
(deserved) ovation as they left the pitch, and our ranks were swelled by a
couple of hundred who were able to pay on the gate (costing them £18 not
the £19.50 we all had to pay with booking fees !) Not sure why they did not
get tickets before - are they not members ?
Roll on Barnsley on Saturday morning - relegation 6 pointer, and there
are concerns as to who will be right back with Kelly & Richardson injured
(allegedly?) and Foxe banned - may be we will have 3 at back - have to wait
and see
Dave
