All the players' fault apparently, we could have fielded two teams of full
internationals.

Top of the Premier League 1st Jan and then didn't win for 8 weeks.

O'Leary lost the dressing room after "Leeds United on Trial" published.

The goldfish only cost 200 quid a year. Why begrudge this pittance when the
business was turning over 69 million?

Business plan was for Champions League one year in every five, UEFA for
three years in every five and no European competition for the fifth year in
every five. That doesn't seem to fit with my memory of what was said at the
time.

Whole board took buying decisions so don't blame Ridsdale for spending too
much, he only bought the players that the manager wanted. There were two
well-respected businessmen on the board so if they were happy, PR must have
been doing the right thing.

The DTI have cleared him of wrong-doing so we shouldn't blame PR for the
subsequent meltdown.

The fans enjoyed the Euro trips so don't blame PR for the fall from grace.

Venables didn't work out so don't blame PR for almost getting relegated that
season.

PR resigned in March 2003 so don't blame him for us getting relegated that
season.

Cardiff heavily in debt and needed PR to help them recover.

Cardiff have the prospect of a new 53M GBP stadium so PR must be a good boy,
eh?

Seems we rather maligned the poor chap. Mind you the article doesn't mention
the silly wages and the general piss-poor management that ruined a football
plc in record time.
