£1.75m for a central defender that frequently gets caught out of position, beaten in the air and out-muscled isn't too bad. He has limited Prem experience and has certainly never "proved he can play in the Premiership". I can't remember how many points his basic, individual errors have cost us this season (Palace and Cardiff spring to mind). I've never seen him turn in a performance like Marques did against against Coventry.
Kilgallon is reasonably pacey, and times a tackle well, and that makes him look good because you see him making great last ditch tackles. I prefer not to notice centre halves because they're doing a quietly efficient job (like Lucas and Woody used to do); I always worry when they are making spectacular saving tackles: it usually means they've been caught out. Let's be honest, if Kilgallon wasn't a product of Thorpe Arch we'd we chuffed to bits at this sale. Kilgallon might well be an England U-21... so is Ian Moore. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
