I've come to the conclusion that fans have no affect whatsoever on
players. I think we're deluding ourselves if we think singing will lift
our players and make them perform better. I'm not saying don't sing,
especially if you enjoy it and it adds to your experience, but watching
those players on Saturday I can't see how us making noise would make
them any better.

How can you defend Kandol or Wise? I can't really blame Kandol for
being shit, he was born that way and it's not his fault. I can get
frustrated at his lack of ability, and particularly his inability to
head a simple ball which he did on Saturday and consistently fails to
do, but I can get really mad at Wise for playing him instead of Healy -
even a pissed off couldn't care Healy is better than Kandol.

I admire your optimism Richard, and I'm not being patronising, I mean
it, but we were shite, and the last minute hand ball notwithstanding we
didn't really do enough to win, didn't look like we had enough ability
or desire to win, and I can't really see this team either keeping us up,
or doing anything other than the same next year, if by some miraculous
change of fortunes we don't go down.

I have to say I'm very depressed over football this morning.
