AFC Leeds Metropolitan (Leeds Met Carnegie team) have just successfully applied for membership of the North East Counties League and are one promotion from the Unibond. Their landlords, Farsley Celtic have just won promotion to the Nationwide Conference.
As an aside it seems like I will not be participating in Worldnet this year. My biggest beef against LUST is that they seem to be extremely willing to to get involved in picking over the carcass of (forgive the paraphrase) a financially AND morally bankrupt Leeds United, and yet don't show any interest in consigning the whole corrupt mess into history by actually doing something constructive. A tenth of the energy that's currently expended on boosting various egos, put into an AFC Leeds Metropolitan would give us all something to be proud of.
