You have to laugh, are you really that naïve? You make it sound like the only payments he had to make were to HMRC and that there was NO income at all. Except that's not true is it? There was sufficient income to pay HMRC if Bates so desired - Perhaps Bates decided that HMRC were not a priority, perhaps interest payments to Astor Holdings were. > > No, because, as you know, I was given those numbers and I wanted > confirmation of which bid was Morris' bid, because they > weren't set out in > percentages and it was late Friday and I have only just now > (Sunday morning) > logged back onto my pc. > Excuses, excuses - "they weren't set out in percentages"?!?!? Would having them set out in percentages make them easier for the layman to understand which was the best deal? Who's fault was it that they weren't set out in an easy to understand way? Late Friday? It was 12.15pm - i.e. lunchtime Friday. Are you honestly expecting us to believe that an intelligent man like yourself can't calculate what percentage of the £35M debt was being offered between either Friday lunchtime and now or at least 9:15am today and now? Why, for the purposes of our argument, does it matter which bid was whose? You claimed that at least 3 bids offered the same or less than Bates - I don't see any offer that is less than 1% of the total debt, neither obviously do you.
