I take it that all of you so concerned about the club's future have read today's Private Eye (Eye 1187) and in particular the piece on page 31 about Batesgate. It quotes the KPMG report: "Leeds breached its agreement with the taxman by not making its £2000,000 monthly payment in March this year. This failure and a second non-payment in April triggered a winding up petition from the Taxman on April 17th" I have had sight of this report, so I think we can take it as being a true statement as the taxman has never denied this either. Aware of this or not, Astor was made a major secured creditor on April the 4th. How on earth could we have ended up owing the taxman 2 million quid a month? That can't all be from the Bates era, can it? That would imply massive, massive income over that period, which I'm pretty sure we haven't had. Cheers!
