I agree here. When Leicester did pretty much the same thing, and got
promotion the following season, there were a few people who thought
they'd pulled a fast one, which is why the 10pt penalty was introduced.
What Leeds have done is certainly no worse, and what Bates has done is
not much different to Lineker's 'Rescue'.

However, it is all much higher profile, and creditors may have got 20
times as much if one of the other offers is to be believed.

I happen to believe we are better off with Bates in charge than someone
who has no football history at all, who has never come forward to help
out before. Also I'm not going to rue the fact that we seem to have got
away lightly for once.

I'm just got this nagging worry that everyone now hates us even more
than before, which is fine if you've got Chelsea's money, but we might
need some favours somewhere along the line. For instance do we know for
certain that we will be allowed to start 'trading' on July 2nd, and that
we get the Golden Share back, or does it have to be approved by somebody
who could just decide to be bloody-minded?

Of course if Uncle Ken's dealings in this instance, or any other
associated with Leeds are ever found to be illegal rather than just
questionable, Lord knows what will happen.

Leicester did it before there was a 10pt penalty!

But the nice Mr Lineacre bought the club out of admin, so noone battered
an eyelid.

Does anyone know what the creditor package was when Leicester were
bought?
