Interesting, Taylor should have said that...
You may remember that, in response to one of Mark's earlier accusations of
bias and the assertion that the Bates offer compared, favourably with that
of Morris; I posted my own analysis of the increased offer (having not seen
Taylor's comment) in which I (generously it, now seems) made the rough
calculation that it should be worth around an extra 18p for a potential
total of 19p compared with the Morris offer of 20p immediately and another
20p to come based on success.
So how did that suddenly become 30p? Are Astor forgoing any claim to that
money too? Their generosity (or is it desperation?) knows no bounds. Of
course if they were to be equally generous with the Morris or any other
offer then the value of those, too would rise accordingly.
In short, the Bates bonus offer was discussed on this list openly.. and
whichever changing figures you use it is still not the best offer nor close
to being so.

EVERYONE knew about this offer: -
YEP 1/6/07
A late change to the terms of the CVA was put on the table by club
director Mark Taylor, who said an extra £5 million would be made
available to creditors - worth an equivalent of 16p in the pound -
should Leeds return to the Premiership within five years.
"I have nicked that idea from (rival bidder] Simon Morris,"
