>>Be careful where you cast your aspersions, Mark, why is he mythical?<<

>Blimmin heck Paul, it was menat to be a light-hearted remark. Remember
those?

Then I apologise

> Like I said.... come out of the car park!

But he's in the car park with Bates, Morris and Franks, at least his cheque
book isn't as empty as Bates'.

> You're obviously getting a much better feed on this than me. Until I see a
firm confirmation of his bid he's exactly what I said - a near-mythical
figure spoken of in hushed tones by "listers in the know". The man who
nearly bought Leeds United.

How will you know that he 'nearly bought Leeds United'? Where will be your
proof?

> Is his bid the higher-but-conditional one that the FL doesn't like?

As both Bates and Redbus have stated that theirs are unconditional I would
assume that Pearsons is conditional.
Dunno about what the FL like or don't like, you must be getting a better
feed on what's happening behind closed doors than me.

> A strange move from someone who was principal shareholder in a
championship football club till last month? Given the level of scrutiny
right now a complex deal is the last thing we need.

The whole scene is complex, no one can make it uncomplex
