Come on you pessimists. Todays news were the best for Leeds to go
forward.... for now....

Funny how it turns out - despite all the big words of potential investors,
Bates still managed to make the best offer for the club.

You "it's all over now" cry-babies ----- get over it. Whoever owns OUR
club does not matter. It is simply not our business. Now is the time to
get behind the team and the football club. If it was owned by Alex Ferguson
I could not care less. The only thing I now care about is that Leeds will
play next season and how many times I will be able to see them play.

Marching on,
Einar.

I really can't believe this. In what way was Bates' offer best for the club?
KPMG must, surely, be bent. There's no other explanation.

As for me, unless or until Bates sells to someone reasonable/dies/is forced
out by Redbus somehow appealing I'm off.

I know my attitude was exactly the same as those expressed above last time
it looked like we were stuck with Bates but it just adds up. I saw nearly
every games since Cyprus last year (couldn't go before, family reasons) and
it'll be very strange not spending half-to-all my Saturdays on the club but
I have really just had enough of it.

More clubs will go our way in the next few years, maybe then football will
regulate itself properly or be so regulated by government (actually I think
the latter will happen, but not soon enough for me).

It isn't a clean slate, Bates, because you've obviously made a complete mess
of the books and monies. Probably when you die it will take forever to sort
out. There'll be no property deals while you're there so at least this won't
kill the club - there'll be no Chelsea Village 2. But I'm not hanging around
to wait. I'll be back when you go. My consolation is that you'll die soon -
and I really, really hope that it's a lingering, dirty, humiliating,
undignified and painful end, only excelled by something even more horrible
happening to Leighton and Ridsdale.

Goodbye Leeds United.
