I'm sorry if I'm behind or out of date, or even if my point has already been made by someone else - My wife had to go back into hospital yesterday as has had some problems after the surgery she had a week or so ago (she's OK for now though...) - so of course I return to a deluge of emails which I have only had time to skim read I'm afraid.
Some chap - sorry I can't remember who - said on here that "Thanks, but goodnight" (or something on those lines) as he cannot follow Leeds until Bates is no longer around.... I have to come back on this. Whilst I don't like Bates and would much rather he was not involved with the club in any way, I cannot just walk away from the darned thing. I am a Leeds fan and will always remain so - see my posting a couple of months ago about why we follow and love our club - it's not the management, or the ground, we follow and support, nor is it the players (temporarily yes, but in the long run, no - players change and move on), it's an intangible "something" which draws us to be fans of the club we love. NOTE I said it's NOT the management! Whoever it was who is giving up, then I have to say that you're not much of a fan then really are you? (much as I appreciate the reasons behind your statement) - for me the devil himself could be in charge or own the club - I would hate it, but they would still be "my" club and I would still look for their results first, and would only ever consider going to watch them and no others. To sum up my feelings... OK Blaster Bates is in charge, yeah and this means..... Nothing at all really.... - what I want is the team to be ready for the new season and to start the process of getting us back into the big time.
