Interesting that the overnight slating of the MPs from listers comes from overseas.
If you were based in the UK AND keeping abreast of the news you would know that the MPs (well Colin Burgon and Phil Willis) were both trying to get clarification from the FL about today's situation. I was driving down the A9 on Thursday afternoon heading for this weekend's worldnet when I got the news about the FL situation. It was a Leeds MP that rang me. If you think that they are treating this as some kind of cheap points scoring game then you are so very wrong. Unlike some people they are very much of the wider picture - which includes all the issues about the development of Elland Road and the local communities. They should be congratulated if only for not appearing as narrow minded and single issue. Oh and if anyone has any doubts about the value of taxation, I will be visiting a very dear friend this afternoon in Leeds general Infirmary. She taught me to read and write 50 years ago and at 75 has just had a serious but successful operation. Ladies and gentlemen, our education system and the NHS paid for by taxation chiefly drawn from well run businesses and their employees (I appreciate that in other countries the ill and illiterate are left to die in gutters). Ah but hey who cares, now what is that stuff that ignorance is made of???????????????
