Have I missed some recent news ? AFAIK this is by no means certain and it may even be that the FL have been left with no other alternative. I can understand why the FL are wanting full information about the recent buyout because I can't even work out what exactly was sold to Bates by KPMG. What has LU2007 got now that they didn't already have before the latest bidding process ? > If that happened would people write to their mps again and ask them to > urge > HMRC to drop their case? I think that this would only work if it was properly established that HMRC were using this as a football creditors test case, which AFAIK they are not. > I guess it isn't just a case of who is actually blocking bates, but who > (still) wants him blocked. Whilst of course I can understand what you are saying about the FL, I suggest again that this is by no means certain. We simply don't know what has taken place and there are entirely feasible scenarios in which the FL have been given no room to operate within their own rules. > I think all Leeds fans should be concentrating on the FL granting the > golden > share, I would be interested to hear how you think that this might be done in a way which does not antagonise and alienate the very body that you appear to think is the key to our salvation. Perhaps any such ideas should be offlist in current circumstances. >instead of vague flower protests which every party could take some > encouragement from as it isn't focussed on any one goal apart from a > general > mourning over what is happening to the club. Because of such concerns, I am aware that as a precaution, a very strong message has been received and understood that any attempt to hijack the meaning of this flower power "appeal" by certain quarters could trigger an instant and angry backlash. Whether this message will be received and taken on board by the person who most needs to take it on board is another matter entirely. I'm writing this simply because that is the best guess that I have of the overall mood of the supporters during my several visits to Bremner corner and from numerous conversations and what is being written on the bulletin-boards. It is impossible to get an accurate judgement of the mood and it is certainly not universal, but the possibility (perhaps even probability) is clear. Generally speaking, an admirable restraint is being shown and hopefully will continue. I don't read it a general mourning. I see it as a heartfelt appeal, from a wide range of fans, and to all of the parties involved, to work together to find a way to ensure that our club lives on.. _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
