At last something to talk about on the pitch even if it was a 2 - 0 defeat.

We started with what seems to be Wise first team (with Derry & Flo injured at
least)
  Loach in net
Back 4 - Frazer, Rui , Heath, Lewis (went off injured for Parker)
  Prutton, Thomspon, Douglas , Westlake
  Beckford, Kandol.

Overall, when you consider we were playing a team a Divison above us,it was
not a bad performance. Prutton looks like he can do a decent job for us.
Beckford also looked lively and caused them a few problems however it is hard
to see where our goals are going to come from with Healy, Blake and now more
than likely Cresswell gone. Kandol had 3 great chances which he managed to
totally mess up.

On the terraces a good turn out of Leeds fans took Burnley by suprise - they
ran out of tickets at the turnstiles and said it was because they were only
expecting1000 and got a lot more than that - maybe as many as 1800. We were
loud and very vocal throughout with lots of anti Bates stuff. "get Chelsea out
of Leeds" "Die Batesy Die" "go get Fathers gun" "get back to Monaco" "we want
our Leeds back"
Best 2 were "sit down if you hate Ken Bates " which got everyone I could see
bar one sat down - may be 99.9% Ken but you have it the wrong way round.
And by far the best - "shoes off if you hate Ken Bates" - not sure why- but
it led to lots of shoes being waved above fans heads.
In addition the "save our club" shirt picture was being handed out as a
leaflet urging fans to join the flower protest at BB statue.

So all in all fun and games and a match to watch - this is what Saturdays are
for.

Some slight optimism for future on pitch especailly if we can get a new goal
scorer in

  Dave
