Imagine the scenario if you can. I was surrounded by a) huge fat birds stuffing
their faces with chips and coke or b) scrawny humans fagging it. Both groups in
Pound-Stretcher style 'sports-gear'. All the residents faces looked like they
were heroine addicts - spotty, white and ugly. Yes ladies and gents, I was at
the Sunderland International Airshow at the weekend. Said event was all rather
jolly, despite the off-putting fizzogs of the lercals. However, I was soon to
learn the perils of speaking ones mind. Post event, trying to exit Fulwell Gold
Club, where one parked one's chariot, it came to my attention that the assorted
shelf-stackers they'd assembled as Car Park attendants couldn't find ther arses
with both hands. Having spent some 40 minutes looking at the bumper of a
Renault Clio, enough was enough, and I questioned whether or not Mrs Lee
shouldn't run the f*cker over. As he rather ill-advisedly stuck his leg under
our car, I decided to converse with said irritant.
Needless to say our views didn't tally. On advising that he'd get me arrested,
I retorted that "Ignoriing a twat" wasn't as I know it breaking the law. At
which point the old Geordie Maggot phrase came out, along with quite a few
other bits of finest Anglo Saxon.
Of course, I absolutely regret not thinking about what I should have said,
because of course Wearside Maggot would have been much more appropriate!! So,
you see my bretheren, we all make mistakes, but it's accepting that and knowing
what you should have said that sets us apart. There was a happy ending though,
as I got the baseball bat out of the car and pounded the little f*cker into the
ground. Or at least I should have done :-)
