Hi Today's Telegraph and Guardian make grim reading. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/cgi/NGoto/220806521?-11130 & http://www.newsnow.co.uk/cgi/NGoto/220796446?-11130 The taxman is demanding transparenccy and the FL the CVA. The administrators think that they cannot get the CVA back up. Bates is now in a worse position position than he than he ever was. He must show who Astor are. Or we go back to the CVA and get the tax people after him. IMHO the idea of going back to the CVA is the only game in town. If not Oldham is our last game. The FL is trying its best to get Leeds into a situation of long term administration. The equation seems to be Leeds without Bates antics or fold . I must admit that I think that the authorities are correct. There is no reason that the little M.F. should be an exception. He wanted to be a serial exception. He is not. He gambled with arrogance. We lost. Who was worse Bates or Ridsdale? Bates was. They both gambled with something that was not just theirs to gamble with. But their motives? Their methods? The end results? On a brighter personal note. I stayed here as my 85 year old Mother went into St James with Heart Failure. There they gave her Pneumonia.I was advised not to leave to go home. We were sure that she was gone. But along came a Consultant with know how. Got her heart failure relatively corrected in an hour [Even he was punching the air with delight] and went after the Pneumonia. Within a day he turned it round. Now she is 'back from the dead'. Sure, very ill but in their fighting. I just hope that is an omen. Or simply telling us that there is more to life than Ken Bates. Off back to Israel in a few hours. Look after yourselves. Michael
