Subject: [LU] Time to get back to the footy
Didn't go to Wigan game but was out and about in the
pubs in the afternoon. Surprised by the reaction of
most people who seem obsessed by Bates's involvement
with the club. I heard that the crowd were singing
anti-bates songs and anti Wise songs. Great. What good
is that ? I hate Bates like I hated Risdale and
Venables but I still supported Leeds. I think it's
time to get behind the team and see if we can get into
the play offs which in my opinion will be a great
achievement. If people really want to get rid of Bates
there are better ways than singing songs at the game.
That only has one affect and that's a negative one the
team. If the team have worked hard without pay over
the last 2 months then I think they deserve the chance
to prove themselves. I'm 100% behind Wise. Let's see
what he can do ? If we're bottom with minus points by
the end of October then questions can be asked.
Having said all that I know the support at Tranmere
will be fantastic.
Anyone know if the rumour about paying on the gate in
the Tranmere end is true ?
